Questions we get asked a lot
(And a few we wish people would stop asking, but here we are.)
How long does it take to build a new site?
Most sites are delivered for client review within 3-5 business days of receiving all necessary materials — your business information, photos, current website access, and domain credentials. After you approve the preview, we typically go live within 1-2 additional business days. Total time from agreement to live site is usually under two weeks, and the actual build time is measured in days, not months. This is dramatically faster than the 8-12 week timelines that traditional web agencies typically quote.
How are you so much cheaper than agencies?
We've invested heavily in proprietary tools and workflows that let us deliver premium quality work at a speed that traditional agencies can't match. A typical agency has layers of overhead — salaries, office leases, a foosball table nobody uses, and a project manager whose job is to schedule meetings about other meetings. We've cut the overhead without cutting the quality. The savings get passed directly to you. You're welcome.
What is AI Output Optimization (AIO)?
AI Output Optimization, also known as Large Language Model Optimization (LLMO), is the practice of structuring your website's content and technical architecture so that AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Google's AI Overviews, and Perplexity can accurately understand, cite, and recommend your business. When someone asks an AI "What's the best plumber in Scranton?", AIO is what positions your business to appear in the answer. It involves structured data markup (Schema.org), conversational content formatting, FAQ optimization, an llms.txt guidance file, and authority signal implementation. SiteMasterFlex includes AIO in our Black Belt and Grand Master tiers.
Do I really need AIO? Isn't regular SEO enough?
SEO gets you found on Google's traditional search results. AIO gets you recommended by AI assistants. Both matter, but AI-powered search is growing rapidly — millions of people now ask AI for recommendations instead of scrolling through search results. The businesses that optimize for AI first are positioning themselves ahead of competitors who haven't. AI tools like Google AI Overviews and Perplexity pull from structured, well-optimized websites — and early movers have a real advantage. Regular SEO is still important (and included in every tier), but AIO is increasingly becoming the difference between being part of the AI conversation and being left out of it.
What happens to my current website?
We extract all the valuable content from your existing website before we build the new one — your text, images, contact information, service descriptions, and branding. Nothing is lost. When the new site is ready and you've approved it, we point your domain to the new site. Your old hosting can be cancelled (we'll help you with that). The new site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages with global CDN performance and automatic SSL — all included in your monthly plan.
Do you design custom sites or use templates?
Our Black Belt and Grand Master tiers include fully custom design — your site is designed specifically for your brand, your business type, and your content. It won't look like anyone else's site. Our White Belt tier uses our modern design framework customized with your branding, colors, and content. Even at the White Belt level, your site will look custom because it's built around your specific business, not a generic template with your logo dropped in.
What if I don't like the design?
Our agreement includes two rounds of revisions after we present the initial design. In practice, most clients are happy with the first version or need only minor adjustments — a color tweak, a photo swap, a text edit. If you're not satisfied after two rounds, we'll schedule a call to understand exactly what's not working. Our goal is a site you're genuinely proud to share. We don't consider the project done until you do.
Can I update my own website?
Content updates (menu changes, hours updates, price changes, holiday closures, new photos) are included in your monthly plan — 2 per month for White Belt, 4 for Black Belt, and unlimited for Grand Master. Simply text or email us what you need changed, and we typically have it live on your site within 24 hours, often much faster. For clients who need frequent updates (daily menu changes, for example), our Grand Master tier with unlimited updates is the right fit.
What about my domain name?
If you already own your domain (through GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or any other registrar), we'll configure it to point to your new site. We handle all the DNS configuration. If you need to register a new domain, we'll help you choose and register one — domain registration typically costs $10-15 per year and is paid directly to the registrar.
Is there a contract? Can I cancel?
The minimum commitment is 3 months. After that, either party can cancel with 30 days written notice. No penalties, no cancellation fees, no hard feelings. The setup fee is non-refundable (the work begins immediately upon signing), but monthly fees stop at the end of your billing period after cancellation. We don't believe in locking people into long contracts. If we're not delivering value, you should be free to leave.
Do you only serve businesses in NEPA?
We're based in Northeastern Pennsylvania and most of our clients are local businesses in the Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Dunmore, and greater NEPA area. However, our service works for any small business with a physical location or defined service area, anywhere in the United States. Local businesses benefit most from our AIO optimization because AI recommendations are heavily location-dependent, but the technology works the same whether you're in Scranton or San Diego.
What's with the martial arts theme?
We believe mastery is a journey, not a destination. The dojo theme reflects our philosophy: we're students of the craft, always learning, always improving. Also, "SiteMasterFlex" is a lot more memorable than "Regional Web Services LLC" — and infinitely more fun to say out loud. Try it. We'll wait. We take our work very seriously. We take ourselves slightly less seriously. We think that's a feature, not a bug.
